GMCSD - Rodgers and Hammerstein Songbook (Aug 1999)
The Gay Men's Chorus of San Diego presents "A Rodgers & Hammerstein Songbook" --a musical tribute to America's most loved theatre songwriting duo -- August 28 & 29 at the Spreckels Theatre.
The 70-member chorus applies their energy and comic flair to 30 songs by the masters of Broadway, showcasing a wide range of tunes. Standards such as "A Fellow Needs a Girl" or "I'm Just a Girl Who Cain't Say No" take on a whole new meaning when sung by the Gay Men's Chorus, however.
