Prepare to be taken on a journey through the whimsy, witty, moving and powerful music and lyrics of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, as presented by SDGMC as new show 'Imagine.'
As one of the 20th century's most important song-writing duos, Lennon and McCartney created so many incredible songs that still live on today.
As part of their 30th Anniversary show, Imagine explores the world that the SDGMC's founders could only have dreamed of, through the sound of these iconic figures.
What better way to celebrate your 30th anniversary than throwing a “Greatest Hits” party? SDGMC presents a two-day engagement called “Greatest Hits Vol. 1 1985-2015” to honor 30 years of music making.
The 200-member chorus will belt out everything from Abba and Madonna to Elton John and Barry Manilow.
The performances will include appearances by the Chamber Chorale, Mood Swings ensemble, an all-male dance troupe and, for the first time, the San Diego Youth Pride Chorus.

What a great year as we celebrated our 30th Anniversary of singing! Thank you to everyone who joined the festivities at our three main-stage shows at the Balboa Theatre—our spring “Greatest Hits—Vol. I” show, our summer Beatles tribute “Imagine” and our recent holiday show “Jingle.”
We also had an incredible year pursuing our musical mission of changing lives one voice at at time throughout San Diego County. We performed more than 40 outreach performances for nearly 50,000 people!

In this, our 30th Anniversary Year Celebration, the 225-member San Diego Gay Men's Chorus is excited to take the Balboa Theatre stage once again. Included is the much anticipated return of our critically acclaimed Chamber Chorale, coming off its “triumph” with the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus We also welcome back our pioneering crowd-favorite, the SD Youth Pride Chorus, San Diego’s only all-inclusive chorale group for young people and our multi-talented Mood Swings ensemble.
